Hey, here is my math question. (:
An aircraft was flying at the altitude of 2950 m. It descended for 3 minutes at 2.5 m/s and then descended for 2.5 minutes at 2.8 m/s. What was the planes altitude after the descent.
First lets see, the altitude of the plane is 2950 m.
It descended for 3 minutes at a rate of 2.5m/s
3 minutes = 180 secs at a rate of 2.5m/s
180 x 2.5 = 450 m
It then descended another 2.5 minutes for 2.8m/s
2.5 minutes = 150 secs at a rate of 2.8 m/s
150 x 2.8 = 420 m
2950
- 450
420
--------
2080 m
The plane's altitude after the descent is 2080 metres.
Heres a picture!

Great post Liem! One little thing that you could have explained, is how you converted the minutes into seconds. Anyways great picture and good job explaining the question!
Awesome job Liem! I think you should have added some colour, but good job!
Nice work Liem! I really liked the picture that you put, it helped to explain it all very well.
